Above is a photo of Monicacos de Esperanza by Pepe Ozan. An odd ensemble of surreal creatures walking towards nowhere. The creature in the foreground reminds me of cartoonist Vaugh Bodé. A common theme in his works was the use of lizard-like creatures as stand-ins for "real" humans (though most of his female characters are
quite human).
